Duc Minh Phan tops Main Etvent Day 1A
As expected, a large contingent of Korean pros were in action at Day 1A of the inaugural Crown Poker Series Main Event Day, joined by other decorated international players. 13 out of 56 entries survived with Seung Mook Jung bagging up the second largest stack. Soojo Kim takes command of Main Event Day 1B
Since the onset of the pandemic, it has been a rarity to see Korean pro Soojo Kim touring the Asian circuit. Lucrative poker festivals on home soil are enough to fill his poker appetite. Crown Poker Series, created by well known Korean poker player Dong Hyun Kim aka Tommy Kim, is scheduled to take place from April 21 to April 28 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam. The Crown Poker Series is the first poker event to be staged at the venue. The festival is powered by Lucky Poker Tour, featuring a Main Event guaranteed prize pool of VN₫ 10 Billion (~US$ 426,500) plus fourteen side events. Events with Guaranteed Prize Pools
In addition to the Main Event, two others also carry guarantees, the Opening Event and 8-Max High Roller, for a total of VN₫ 14 Billion (~US$ 597,150) in guaranteed prize pools.
