An additional 26 players have survived through, set to return to the felt tomorrow for the WPT Opener Day 2 games. Lithuania’s Augutis Vilius ended the day with the highest chip count at 589,000, followed by China’s Shangguan Yuecheng with 428,000. Each survivor is guaranteed a minimum payout along with a shot at the trophy and WPT Korea Side Event Ring.

The second flight on schedule for the WPT Opener racked up a much bigger field with a total of 206 entries recorded through eight levels of registration. Set to play down to ITM (12.5% of the field), only 26 players are guaranteed a spot into Day 2.

One more flight to go with this evening’s Day 1C Turbo serving as the event’s last flight.


WPT Korea

The second flight for WPT Korea’s first trophy event on schedule, WPT Opener, plays down this afternoon, leaving the last one to follow later in the evening. Each player starts off with a 25,000 stack, equivalent to 125 BB and is set to course through 30 minute blind levels. The qualifier will conclude once ITM is reached where 1 in 8 players will survive onto Day 2, guaranteed a share of the pot.
