Filipino Hernan Jaybee Villa closed Day 1A of the Mini Main Event in celebration by knocking out Alok Birewar on the bubble. Limping in from the button, Villa three-bet jammed big blind Birewar’s raise and Birewar snap-called for his entire 30 bb. Though Villa was behind Jc10s to Birewar’s AdQd, he improved on the board Ks10c5c7h7s to eliminate Birewar and leapfrog to the top of the counts.
