The Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT) is back for its 14th edition, and action is already underway! Kicking off on July 14, 2023, the beloved homegrown festival was off to an incredible start. On opening day, over 500 players poured in for the Freeroll to the Kick-Off event. The overwhelming response resulted in a long line and a cap of 10 tables. The energy continued to surge on the second day with the Kick-Off event setting a new record of 1,264 entries and generating double the NTD 2,000,000 guarantee.
From its humble beginnings of just ten events, TMT has grown immensely in five short years. The latest edition, TMT 14, is designed to be bigger than ever with an extended 18 days of non-stop poker running from July 14 to 31 at the newly opened Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan.
A couple of standout features is the enormous NTD 20,000,000 (~USD 648,400) in guaranteed prize pools, which is a significant increase compared to the previous edition. The Main Event, with its NTD 10,000,000 (~USD 324,200) guarantee, is also a substantial boost.

To date, the richest TMT was the 12th edition with a grand festival payout over NTD 39.5 Million equivalent to 1.3 Million USD. If TMT 14 continues its blockbuster pace, it should easily breach that figure.
Another noteworthy aspect of TMT 14 is the number of events. With 40 scheduled tournaments, that’s exactly twice the amount of the previous edition. Two players have already captured trophies, Chih Hsien Lin (Warm Up Giant Stack), and Jia Chi Lee (NLH Turbo).

The most anticipated highlight of the festival is the Main Event and as mentioned above, it features an impressive NTD 10,000,000 guarantee. Sponsored by online platform Natural8, a whopping 182 seats have already been won via online satellites with more to be claimed. Only two online satellites remain, both are scheduled for July 16.
