Heading into the final table, Huy already enjoyed the chip advantage at 1,314,000 while Taiwanese pro Justin Chu was in hot pursuit. With only four places paid, Huy proceeded to steamroll the opposition and dealt the knockout blow against fellow countryman Chu Thai Thinh to burst the bubble.

This signaled in the heads up round with Huy ahead in chips against Sang. By the 20th hand, Huy had grinded down Sang to 3 bb and knocked him with
set over King-Five offsuit.
“It’s been a long time since I won a WPT trophy. I’m happy that I finally got a trophy. I want to also get the trophy in the Main Event so that I could get that passport to play in the WPT World Championship.”
