Opening day at Poker Dream 7 Vietnam roared in with the Vietnam Open ₫2 Billion guaranteed kicking off the festivities. By night’s end, 298 entered over three flights. Bagging up the overall chip lead was well known Vietnamese pro Pham Bao with a 103 bb stack. Pham topped the 149 entry field of Day 1B.
Leading up to the bubble round with only 23 players reaching ITM, Pham won a big pot against Dream Player of the Year (DPOY) race leader You Jun Hong who double barreled with

The first Poker Dream 7 Vietnam trophy was claimed by Vietnam’s own Phan Minh Duc at the Vietnam Open event. Phan pocketed a cool ₫402,300,000 (~$16,500).
It was a patient grind to the top for Phan who was down to 9 bb at 7 handed. After numerous uncalled shoves and three players dropping out, Phan earned his first double up against Adrian Chua with spiking the ace on the river to dust .
