It took over eight hours on the felt before the day wrapped up with Iakimenko Anton holding down the top spot. Iakimenko was already ahead of the pack but added a third of his stack after delivering the bubble. The Russian runner ends the day with a massive 650,000 (81 BB) heading into March 27th, Wednesday’s Day 2.

WPT Opener Day 1A drew in a total of 68 entries with the field set to play down to 12.5% (ITM) at 9 players. Two more flights run through tomorrow, Day 1B and Day 1C Turbo.
WPT Korea’s first trophy event on schedule, WPT Opener kicks off its initial flight, Day 1A this Monday, March 25th with two more flights set to play down the following day. Each player starts off with a 25,000 stack, equivalent to 125 BB and will course through 30 minute blind levels for today’s games. The day will conclude once ITM is reached where 1 in 8 players will qualify to Day 2 for a share of the pot.
