Inaugural Crown Poker Series wraps up in Da Nang, Vietnam, pays out VN₫ 21.6 Billion (~$923K)

Impressive debut of the Crown Poker Series as it wrapped up an eight-day run from April 21 to 28 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam. Powered by the Korean-driven Lucky Poker Tour, the arrival of elite players from Korea set the tone. The buzz quickly spread to include notable locals and international players. One of the highlights was the participation of high profilers Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Gediminas Uselis.

Overall, the series paid out VN₫ 21,684,881,000 (~US$ 923,740) across 11 events. Among the champions were decorated pros Seungmook Jung, Yohwan Lim, and Julien Tran.

The ambitious Main Event, which had a higher than usual price tag of VN₫ 44,000,000 (~US$ 1,860) and a guarantee of VN₫ 10 Billion drew 254 entries. Korea’s Beab Su Kim and Vietnam’s Bien Mai split the top two payouts down the middle to emerge the series biggest earners.
