Big names capture Crown Poker Series titles: Julien Tran, Seungmook Jung, Koichi Kono emerge newest champions

While the Main Event has concluded, the excitement of the Crown Poker Series continues with a variety of side events still to be won. On the second to last day, three players emerged victorious at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Da Nang, Vietnam, namely Julien Tran, Seungmook Jung, and Koichi Kono. Here are the results.

Julien Tran dominates the Monster Stack

Jul Tran

A good two days of work for Vietnamese pro Julien Tran who locked up the Monster Stack event for VN₫  302,200,000 (~US$ 12,800). Tran entered the final table as chip leader, and throughout, was never in danger of elimination.

After knocking out Jun Hee Kim on the bubble with AhAc set over Kd6h second pair, he coasted to heads up with 81 bb against Kyu Kang Won‘s  17 bb. It was no contest as Won was unable to dent Tran’s overwhelming stack. The final hand was a pure trap. On a board 3d8hQd4hAs, with both players checking, Won went all in on the river with Ac2h top pair only to walk into Tran’s QsQc
