Videos of the Week: Phil Hellmuth vs. Tom Dwan Heads-Up Duel; Set Over Set for Doug Polk; Epic Quads Compilation by PokerStars; Negreanu’s WSOP Breakdown & More!

In this article, we deliver you a couple of selected poker videos of the past week.

Hellmuth vs. Dwan Round Two!

It was online poker legend Tom “durrrr” Dwan who broke 16-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth’s amazing 7:0 winning streak on PokerGO’s Heads-Up Duel. Now, it was time for the rematch. The two poker greats each put up $200,000 this time for this super high stakes heads-up Sit&Go. The pre-match interview and the first hour of the game were broadcast free by PokerGO, you can watch the VOD below. Also, spoiler alert: Phil Hellmuth emerged victorious at the end of this one. So while he’s no longer unbeaten, his record is still a very impressive 8:1. Any NFL team would gladly take that for their conference games!

Doug Polk Set Over Setted in His Own Club

The big news in the poker world for the last couple of weeks has been Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme buying a poker room in Round Rock, TX. For some promo, all three of them decided to hop in a live streamed $5/$10/$25 No Limit Hold’em cash game at the Lodge. Polk may have regretted doing that just a little bit, when his set of 4’s ran into a set of 8’s, held by a player who goes by the odd name “9 E”. However, just like when his straight ran into Hellmuth’s higher straight, Polk was able to get away from this cooler as well. Ethan “Rampage” Yau was also in the mix on the stream.

Epic Quads Compilation by PokerStars

In Hold’em, you have about 600:1 odds to make quads. So, if you play enough poker, chances are you’re going to make a few of them. However, it’s still quite exciting when you happen to make them while being on a high-profile, televised poker event. So, the PokerStars YouTube channel decided to edit together a nice video compilation of just that: players hitting four of a kinds in front of cameras. This video features, among others, Daniel Negreanu, Dan Smith, Gus Hansen, and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

Daniel Negreanu Breaks Down His Deep WSOP Online Run

During the annual World Series of Poker, usually in the summer, Daniel Negreanu’s YouTube channel is popping off with his famous WSOP vlogs. But when the WSOP ends, usually there’s a big dip in views for old DNegs. So, he decided to put together a breakdown video of his 3rd place finish for $20,851 in the WSOP Online $600 No Limit Hold’em Knockout [Freezeout] event, played back in July 2021 on WSOP.com. You can watch and learn from the 6-time WSOP champion below.

Jaman Burton at the Aria

One of the smaller poker vloggers on the web, Jaman Burton recently visited the Aria in Las Vegas. Just for the heck of it, he did so while dressed as a cowboy. He played in the $1/$3 NLHE meet-up cahs game organized by Veronica Brill, best known for being the whistleblowers in the infamous Mike Postle cheating scandal at Stones Gambling Hall. Burton managed to end the session with a $165 (55 BB) win, at a table that featured fellow poker vlogger Johnnie Vibes.
