GGPoker Announces 2024 WSOP Online

Computer consoles have been heating up as players compete for prestigious gold bracelets at the ongoing 2024 WSOP Online, taking place at Natural8 on the GG Network. Running since August 18, a total of 33 bracelets kicked off the series with 7 now claimed. You can read up on the first few winners in our earlier post, scroll down for the next four – Tarun Goyal, Rosana Aguiar, Eric Kindred, Vlad Draie – all first time WSOP champions. Also added to the news was “Zipflzwigga“, the lucky winner of the 1 Million Dollar Mystery Millions top bounty prize.

Tarun Goyal Defeats Tony Lin For Maiden WSOP Gold at $840 Bounty PLO

India’s Tarun Goyal nicknamed “Uncapped” clasped his first ever WSOP gold bracelet at Event 4: $840 Bounty Pot Limit Omaha after defeating one of China’s most decorated poker players, Tony Lin, at heads up. Goyal locked up a total payout of US$ 109,561. his second largest WSOP career score. This was bracelet #12 for India following in the online footsteps of Kartik Ved and Aayush Arya.

Recognized as one of India’s top online players, in 2021, he came close to victory at the WSOP Online Colossus Event, finishing 5th out of a massive field of 10,903 entries. This earned Goyal a career high payout of US$ 129,337 which still holds today.

On his latest win, Goyal was one of 881 entries that built up the prize pool to US$ 704,800. Included in his winnings was a large bounty payout of US$ 64,582. For Lin, the hunt for the elusive first bracelet continues. Same goes for 3rd placer Andreas Torbergsen from Norway who came close to gold for the second time in his online career. Down the rung was Belgium national / Taiwan resident Ori Kossonogi nicknamed “BrokenNative” finishing 7th for US$ 16,463.

Rosana Aguiar Wins The Ladies NLH Championship

Brazilian player Rosana Aguiar only had three small live cashes to her name however online, now that’s a different story. Nicknamed “RoThorlay_” in GGPoker, Aguiar rose above the 186 entry field of Event #5: Ladies NLH Championship to seize the coveted WSOP gold bracelet and a payout of US$ 16,512.

Securing the win was certainly no easy task for Aguiar with Australia’s Jennifer Casselldejens” in the lineup. However, Cassell only went as far as 7th place for a payout of US$ 3,471. Two Asian players reached the final table, China’s Jing Zhu “Fish is me@” 5th place, and Vietnam’s Dinh Khanh Quynh Tran “XiMuiPH” who settled for 2nd place earning a payout of US$ 12,732.

Eric Kindred Wins Monster Stack NLH For First Bracelet

Online player Eric Kindred nicknamed “TiananmenSquare” triumphed over the 1,437 runners of Event #6: Monster Stack No Limit Hold’em to pocket a six-figure payout of US$ 263,719.

Hailing from the USA, Kindred entered the final table near bottom though with a decent 24 bb stack. Around the virtual felt were players loaded with live and online achievements that included bracelet winners Julio Belluscio “bartodlgente”, Christopher Frank, and recently minted Tarun GoyalUncapped” for his second final table.

Despite bringing in 30 bb to the final table, Goyal exited in 9th place to add US$ 32,964 to his earlier winnings, Frank made it to 5th place for US$ 93,238, and Belluscio was stopped in 4th place for the first six-digit payout of US$ 120,915. At heads up, Kindred defeated Alejandro Quezada “ibillion” to score his first ever WSOP bracelet.

Other notable Asians needing mention were Chinese pros in the top 20, Jifeng Huang “Snakey” who finished 16th and Quan Zhou “kingszhou” in 18th place. Both players earned US$ 11,551.

Vlad Darie Adds WSOP Title To His Achievements; Zipflzwigga Finds The Million

With stats dating back to 2010, WPT decorated champion Vlad Darie from Romania finally landed his first ever WSOP title at Event #7: $215 Mystery Millions. Darie defeated Ukraine’s Michail Marakhovsky at heads up to secure a migty payout of US$ 633,861 which included US$ 10,143 in bounties. This was significantly larger than his top live score, and for the achievement, the win came with a coveted WSOP gold bracelet.

The highly popular Mystery Millions drew 52,452 entries for a prize pool of US$ 10,375,005. Each entry flight bagged at ITM for a total of 4,495 players into Day 2. While the bracelet hunt provided plenty of thrill, it was the US$ 1 Million bounty prize that everyone had their hopes on finding.

That lucky moment happened to Austrian player “Zipflzwigga” who busted out fairly early in 2,896th place for a payout of US$ 245. However, having elminated one player, Zipflzwigga redeemed his bounty ticket and drew the coveted US$ 1 Million. At the conclusion of the event, Zipflzwigga was the event’s largest earner. Another lucky winner was 317th placer “BulteeK” from Mongolia who earned US$ 411,547 in bounties plus US$ 1,265 payout for a combined take of US$ 412,812.

Asian notables to mention were WSOP online bracelet winner Aayush Arya “Aayush Arya 101” who finished 13th for US$ 32,988,  China’s Guangming Wang “wgm1828” in 9th place for US$ 84,547, Philipine’s Francisco Sanchez “bitcoinminter” in 5th place for US$ 200,190, and Taiwan’s Guan Hong Wu “Andy Hong” in 4th place for US$ 270,356.
