aplroomday1l

Premier brand Ace Poker League continued to reaffirm its popularity in South Korea with a stunning 2,737 signing up for the Main Event. Without challenge, this was the biggest poker tournament in the country. Contributing a large portion to that turnout was the final starting day (Day 1L) which brought in 881 entries. APL Seoul has been ongoing since October 3 and runs until October 9 at the Swiss Grand Hotel.

Also setting a new record was the prize pool as it soared to ₩2,181,600,000, equivalent to around US$ 1,618,400. Coming Day 2, 300 players will see a piece of that pot, minimum of ₩1,600,000 (~US$ 1,185) with the eventual champion guaranteed a jaw-dropping ₩410,000,000 (~US$ 304,160).

Leading the race is Day 1J chip leader Kim Kwang Yeol with 129 bb, he is trailed closely by the last flight chip leader Kim Jae Ryeon with 121 bb.
