WPT Global Releases Spring Festival Details with $7 Million in Guarantees and further Promotions

With the Warm Up Series taking place right now, the next major online poker series on WPT Global is just around the corner. The third-biggest operator in the industry has released the details for the upcoming Spring Festival, which takes place from May 5 to 26, 2024. A total of USD $7 million in guaranteed prize pools await along with 100% of the rake paid back via Freerolls to the players.

Three major tournaments headline the WPT Global Spring Festival schedule and players from all over the world have the chance to become a WPT Championship Event winner from the comfort of their home. Something for every bankroll will be on offer with the Mini Championship costing a mere $22 to enter with USD $150,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The Spring Festival Championship Event adds a zero to the price tag and the USD $220 buy-in brings with it a massive USD $500,000 guarantee.

But all eyes will be set on the WPT Championship Event. It carries the usual USD $3,500 entry fee that many World Poker Tour Main Tour stops carry and the guaranteed prize pool is a whopping USD $1,000,000. If that price tag is too steep for your pockets, don’t worry as plenty of satellites will be available for the marquee tournament of the online festival.

This opportunity comes nearly four years after the World Poker Tour World Online Championships on partypoker when the global coronavirus pandemic halted almost all live poker competitions. Many brands moved their competitions online including the WPT. Notables such as  Paul-Francois Tedeschi, Alex Manzano, Gavin Cochrane, Nick Petrangelo, Daniel Smyth and Andrey Kotelnikov were all crowned champions in 2020.

The 2021 WPT World Online Championships was also held on the global partypoker platform as well and culminated in the 1,179-entry strong Main Event, which carried a USD $5,300 buy-in and resulted in a USD $5,895,000 prize pool. Online legends such as Rodrigo Seiji, Talal Shakerchi and Bruno Volkmann all reached the nine-handed final table. Slovenia’s Rok Gostisa defeated David Peters in heads-up to claim the top prize of USD  $959,493.

Who will join them and see their name engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup in May 2024?

Bonuses and Rakeback Freerolls During the Spring Festival

The winners of any Spring Festival event will get a seat to the restricted Champion of Champions Freeroll, in which a total of USD $50,000 in tickets and cash prizes are up for grabs. The winner will receive a USD $12,400 WPT Passport package.

During the entire online series, there is also a Spring Festival Leaderboard and each of the tournament finishes in the money contributes to your points tally. Sweeten the success at the tables with your share of USD $100,000 in cash prizes, online MTT tickets on WPT Global and live passport packages for World Poker Tour stops all over the world.

Another set of Freerolls is available through the Spring Festival Rakeback promotion, with all additional rake beyond the USD $150,000 allocated for the Champion of Champions Freeroll and overall leaderboard going into a separate pool. There will be Gold (50%), Silver (30%) and Bronze (20%) available and the entry is gained based on your overall participation and buy-in amounts throughout the numbered events on the schedule.

  • Bronze Tier Freeroll: $100K guaranteed, available to those playing 25+ MTTs or spending between USD $500 and USD $2,499.99.
  • Silver Tier Freeroll: USD $160K guaranteed, for players who take part in 50+ MTTs or expending USD $2,500 to USD $9,999.99.
  • Gold Tier Freeroll: USD $225K guaranteed, aimed at high rollers playing 100+ MTTs or spending over USD $10,000.

All bonus Freerolls will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, one week after the conclusion of the 2024 WPT Global Spring Festival.

The numbered events during this major online series also count towards the 2024 WPT Global Player of the Year leaderboard as well, which has USD $100,000 reasons to grind for. That’s how much the winner of the year-long leaderboard will receive in the form of cash and prizes, including four  WPT Main Tour Championships in 2025.
