ACR celebrates Thanksgiving with Bountyful Weekend
The tournament craze at US-friendly Americas Cardroom is continuing through with another surprise this Thanksgiving season. Running from November 24-27, the popular site announced its upcoming The Bountyful Weekend which features three massive PKO tournaments ($500,000, $250,000, and $100,000 GTD). The three multi-flight events are posted at varying buy-in levels – $215, $55, and $16.50, paving the way for all players of different bankrolls to partake in the celebration.
Aside from the generous prize pools, an additional promotion will be available on the three events where players can claim double bounties when they knock out any ACR Pro. That means regardless of the value, the winning player will see the full amount on the pro’s head credited to their account instead of just half.

PokerStars launches software changes and improvements
Online poker giant PokerStars released its latest update last week, showcasing an overhauled Spin & Go lobby for its UK clientele. The visual upgrade boasts a decluttered and more modern feel, along with a darker color scheme. While the look is limited to the UK market for the meantime, a global rollout is in the works to debut next year. Additionally, the update also boasts an improved tournament result display, several improvements to the tournament information widget, and bigger emojis in the chat bubbles.
Various minor settings used such as auto-seating players after accepting reserved seat in cash games, showing time left to act, bet amounts, observer count, and changes in winning when all-in in tournament play, and player notes: large icons, and color borders, will on default be turned on. Recreational players who make use of the videochat table function will also find new throwables making gameplay more interactive for all. The network’s mobile application similarly features numerous tournament improvements including custom bet shortcuts and detailed tournament information display.
Partypoker Championship Winter Edition goes online this December
The fourth running for 2022 of the Partypoker Championship (PPC) has been revealed to kick off this coming Christmas day, December 25 for three and a half weeks of nonstop action. Unlike its previous editions, the Winter tour is set for a full online setting on the partypoker.com platform available through January 17. The latest tour is committed to host a total of four Main Events, split amongst the two classic variants No Limit Hold’em and Omaha.
While more information on the event lineup is yet to be released, the crown jewel $530 buy-in Main Event will see six starting flights on schedule with each completing through 15% of the field. Those who make it to Day 2 are automatically guaranteed a minimum payout when they return to the felt on January 16. The final table gameplay will commence the following day, January 17 as the final nine battle for a notable six-figure top prize.
Players who find the $530 price tag a tad steep are welcome to lock in a seat for as little as $0.01 via the site’s satellite offerings. There are also $1.10, $5.50, and $22 buy-in options that feed into the weekly PPC Winter Main Event Satellite where no direct buy-in is allowed. Special edition $10 SPINS intended for the Winter series has also been announced to hit the tables and award a variety of prizes ranging from $33 tickets all the way to the $530 Main Event.

Spanish pro Lucia Navarro signs under 888poker
Another outstanding woman in the field of poker has signed under the 888poker label in a mission to promote the game and grow its influence. Spanish pro Lucia Navarro, who frequents cash game tables more than tournaments, serves as the brand’s newest ambassador joining the likes of Kara Scott and Vivian Saliba.
Originally from Alicante, Spain, Navarro has proven to be a fierce competitor on the felt, faring well against the European live cash game scene for nearly a decade.
