Isaac Haxton Joins Team Partypoker

Over the last few years, we have seen several players on team PokerStars move on to new things. One player who chose to join that group is Isaac Haxton, who left PokerStars two years ago.

It is no surprise that another online poker room has now signed him up, and even less of a surprise that it is the growing rival of PokerStarspartypoker. The online poker room made the announcement yesterday that he is now part of their team.

Haxton’s reasons for leaving PokerStars were made clear to the world when he told Somuchpoker “I took this decision because I believe what PokerStars did was not fair to the players and was unethical”.

He was, of course referring to the VIP changes made by PokerStars and they way in which they went about it. Haxton’s exit followed soon after Alex ‘Kanu7’ Millar’s, who left team PokerStars a few months before Haxton did.

A new chapter

This new chapter now begins for Haxton, who had the following to say about his new affiliation “I am very excited to be joining the Partypoker team,” Haxton said. “I’ve been very impressed with their growth over the last year or so. From expanding their online cash game and tournament offerings, to improving their software, and most of all rolling out their ambitious and innovative live events program, their commitment to growing the game and providing a great product for their players has been clear.”

Haxton is an excellent signing for partypoker, as a well liked and highly respected player who has been very successful over the years, with $3 million in tracked online winnings and $16 million in live cashes.

Haxton joins other members of the team, Fedor Holz, Jason Koon, Kristen Bicknell and Dzmitry Urbanovich in representing an online poker room which seems to care greatly about players and is on the rise.

Managing Director Tom Waters said of the signing  “Isaac’s profile and experience makes him a perfect ambassador for the company. Over the years he has also demonstrated a real commitment to principles and will play a key role in helping us meet and exceed player expectations.”

Having recently won ‘Operator of the Year’ Partypoker appear to be the perfect fit for a player like Haxton, whose affable manner at the table and excellent results through his career make him the perfect candidate for representing an online poker brand.
