Triton Poker Sochi Special Edition debuts in Russia
Another two-part high roller festival is sure to knock everyone’s feet off as the Asian-esteemed Triton Poker together with PokerGO’s Super High Roller Series, hosts sixteen days of live poker action covering 14 premium tournaments this March in Casino Sochi, Russia. Under the Triton Poker brand are the first four events on schedule – two No Limit Hold’em and two Short Deck tournaments with the following ten events under SHRS a combination of No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Short Deck tournaments.
Unlike festivals on regular poker players’ calendars, this series is not for the faint of heart as the games carry hefty price tags ranging from $25,000 to as high as $250,000 for the brand’s esteemed Main Event. The SHRB title has been one of the most sought out victories with champions such as Michael Addamo, Wiktor Malinowski, and Justin Bonomo claiming seven-figure wins for topping the star-studded fields.
The announced partnership follows Triton Poker’s timely decision to postpone its February festivities in Bali, Indonesia in light of the recent Omicron variant (COVID-19) developments. The 13-day festival supposedly beginning on the 17th originally had 11 events lined up including a pair of $200,000 buy-in Main Events.
“We’ve been incredibly humbled by the interest our first 2022 event of the season has garnered, however disappointed that current circumstances impedes us from hosting and broadcasting the live Bali tournament. The health and safety of our players, partners, and team is always a priority and we look forward to returning to host these exclusive live tournaments to our audiences anytime, anywhere with the high-level poker entertainment”, commented Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker Series.
“We remain committed to the Triton community at large, and despite this minor setback, we will be standing by our pledge to proceed with the charitable activation portion of the Bali season as promised.”, Wong added.
