USOP Taiwan MAIN EVENT begins today! – January 11 to 15, 2024

DSC 6413

After six days of U Series of Poker (USOP) Taiwan pre-games, welcome to the MAIN EVENT! The much awaited highlight gets underway at exactly 12pm today, January 11, 2024 and runs until January 15, 2024, at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City. For this year’s opening edition, the guarantee is set at a conservative NTD 15,000,000 (~USD 484,400).

With tremendous support seen since opening day, and more players making their way just for this event, anticipate the guarantee to be surpassed well before the completion of the four entry days. As a gauge, last year’s inaugural launch accumulated a prize pool of NTD 18,210,800; there is no reason this figure will not be breached.

USOP Main Event in 2023

In February 2023, USOP emerged into the live scene, staging its first event in Taipei City, Taiwan. The attraction was immediate, players flocked to generate a Main Event prize pool of NTD 18,210,800. At the time, the buy in was just NTD 20,000, the lowest ever offered by the brand. Philippine player Edwin Dela Cruz was crowned champion, pocketing NTD 3,060,000 (~USD 98,340).

Since the brand’s introduction into the live scene, it held three more events, all in Vietnam – two at the Crown Poker Club in Hanoi and the finale in Da Nang. Each time, the prize pool swelled past the previous figure with the brand’s season ender holding the record for the richest in Da Nang, and each time, a first time Main Event winner was hailed. The next one could be you!
