APT returns to Macau

The Poker King Club Macau announced on the 25th of May that the Asian Poker Tour will return to Macau on July 21st – 29th. . The event is still subject to regulatory approval.

Jeff Mann, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour, released a short statement about the event in which he stated “We have staged a number of very successful events in Macau in the past. Unfortunately, last year it did not happen which disappointed many players. We are delighted to be back working with two highly prestigious partners. For sure APT Macau 2015 will be a record breaking event for APT, Poker King Club and The Venetian Macau.”

APT, APPT, Macau Poker Cup: A busy summer !

Major tours in Asia have clearly been putting the players best interests first in their schedule for this summer, as there are many great events, which have been scheduled so that they do not overlap with one another. The following events are important ones which will be taking place in the next few months, so be sure to add them to your calendar.

June 5th – APT Poker Weekend Series. This will run to June 9th at the APT Poker Room, Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel Casino, In the Phillipines. There will be a PHP5,000 rebuy event ($111) on day 1, along with a PHP50,000 high roller ($1.1k). Day 1A of the Main (PHP25,000 buy in / $550) starts June 6th , with day 1B starting June 7th . PHP2,500 satellite events ($55) will run in the evenings on the first 2 days of the series. Other Holdem side events will take place through the series too.

July 21st – 29th will see the APT Macau event come to the Venetian Macau in Taipa. Further details are yet to be announced.

 July 30th – August 9th the APPT 9: Manila will kick off with a PHP10,000 Warm Up event ($220). 3 starting days will take place on the first three days of the series, with a PHP25,000 6 max event scheduled for August 4th . Starting days 1 and 2 for the PHP50,000 main event ($1.1k) will commence on August 6th and 7th with a PHP25,000 Megastack ($550) on August 8th, and a huge PHP200,000 High Roller ($4.5k) event on August 9th.

APT Asian Poker Series Cebu will take place between August 11th and 19th and includes many events, including a PHP100,000 High Roller ($2.2k) on August 12th , and the PHP 50,000 Main Event ($1.1k)  starting August 14th. Three starting days will be required, from the 14th – 16th and as with all major series listed here, satellites will be running in the days leading up to the main.

August 28th – September 13th will see the Macau Poker Cup 23 arrive, bringing with it a HKD12,000 buy in Main Event. Further details are expected soon.
