Save the dates: Tournaments in Asia in March

APT Poker Room Manila Inaugural Tournament

February 27th to March the 2nd the APT Poker Room Manila will host it’s first tournament. The prize pool is guaranteed at PHP$200,000 and there are extra prizes that include a main event seat, along with 9 seats into side events at the upcoming APT Philippines. The buy in is PHP$1,500. The event has two separate start days, on the 27th (5PM) and 28th of February (4PM). Levels are 40 minutes long, and starting stacks are 20,000 chips. Antes arrive at level 5.

Macau Poker Cup 22

Red Dragon:  With a HK$12,000 buy in and a field size expected to top 1,000, this prize pool should surge to more than double it’s HK$5 million guarantee. Day 1A takes place March 7th at 6PM. Day 1B starts at 3PM on March 8th and day 1C is also at 3PM, on March 9th. This event has a slow blind structure, and 15,000 starting stacks. Satellites of differing buy ins will be running right up to, and including March 7th.

High Roller: March 13th will see a qualifier event at 2.30PM (HK$2,400 buy in) to a satellite at 4.30PM (HK$11,000 buy in.) The high roller event will begin at 7PM that evening, with a buy in of HK$80,000. One re entry is allowed, and the event takes place over 2 days.  

Manila Megastack 2

Second edition of the Manila Megastack organized by Pokerstars Live Manila in it’s new poker room. Main Event Qualifiers (PHP$1,200 buy in) in the few days prior to the main event will lead up to a main event satellite (PHP$5,000 buy in) that takes place on March 27th. Day 1 of the main event takes place on March 28th, with a PHP$25,000 buy in.

ANZPT Sydney

The main event of this series will run from March 19th to March 23rd. It costs AUD$2,300 to enter, with Day 1 fields taking place on March 19th and 20th. Blind levels are 60 minutes through the tournament, up until the final table, where they become 75 minutes. Antes come into play at level 3. Last year saw 448 runners, and a 1st prize of AUD$133,360.
