Also on the floor was Day 1B of the Mystery Bounty. 149 signed up with 23 players reaching ITM. They join the 18 survivors of Day 1A on Wednesday, May 3 at 1pm for the race to the top and to hunt down the biggest bounty of PHP 630,000. Ogura Takashi takes down the Super High Roller
Ogura Takashi outlasted the 39 hard hitters of the Super High Roller event to capture the title, trophy, and a cool PHP 6,170,000 (~US$ 111,350). Takashi entered the final table running lowest rank with just 6 bb then proceeded to win multiple showdowns to take command. Despite Gary Thompson’s efforts, Takashi was tough to break. Beh Kok Weng bags two events in a single day
What a day for Malaysia’s Beh Kok Weng who shipped two events back to back. His first takedown was at the 6-Handed event, besting a field of 29 runners for a score of PHP 137,216 (~US$ 2,475). He then jumped into the 300K NLH, just making it before registration closed. Heads up Weng faced off against Gary Thompson who finished 2nd at the SHR event earlier in the day. Weng outlasted the Irish pro for his second title and a huge payout of PHP 1,218,000 (~US$ 21,980).
How Chee Chong wins the Bubble Rush
16 players battled for the Bubble Rush which was the last event of the day. In the end, it was Malaysia’s How Chee Chong winning it for a payout of PHP 86,000 (~US$ 1,550).
