Natural8-WSOPC: MAIN EVENT charges past $6M; PLO MAIN rises to $1.8M; final four ring events coming up; first series win for Adrian Mateos

Another 14 side games were completed at the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series to add $ 1.6 million to the festival’s record setting prize pool. To date, the grandest online event has paid out a huge $ 107.7 million across 469 games to become the richest online event in history. Among the latest big winners were Adrian Mateos and Jacob Schindler.

The WSOPC series got underway on May 3rd at GG Network Natural8. Since then, 14 of the iconic 18 circuit gold rings have been claimed. The chase for the last four rings is ongoing with registration and daily Day 1 heats leading up to the events. Those events will hit the virtual felt in just a day’s time. The final day to sign up is on May 31st.

Two days ago, the MAIN EVENT $5M GTD was cracked and now sits at $ 6.3 million and rising. Also exceeding its guarantee was the featured PLO MAIN EVENT $1M GTD with the prize pool now at $ 1.8 million. We’ve provided ring event updates and Day 27 results just below.

Update: WSOPC Ring Event #17: MAIN EVENT $5M GTD

Attendance at the Day 1 heats of the WSOPC Ring Event #17: MAIN EVENT $5M GTD has been rising with the prestigious event just one day away. As everyone knows, if there is one event to conquer, this is it.

Two days ago, the Main Event guarantee was breached and as of today, it has climbed to $ 6,337,450. Pros Isaac Haxton and China’s Guo Dong were among the latest to secure their spot to the final day. To date, a combined 6,671 have entered with 938 through to the final day. Only six Day 1 heats remain to qualify.

Coming final day, players can expect to see notables in the roster such as: Bertrand “ElkY” Grospelier, Fedor Holz, Henri Buehler, Alex Foxen, Kristen Bicknell, Mikita Badziakouski, Adrian Mateos, Michael Soyza, Thai Ha, and 2019 WSOPE Main Event winner Alexandros Kolonias. Series ring winners also to watch for are Chi Jen Chu “PetitFoxx”, TheMadQueen, ChilaxChuck, BlaireauEnColere, ShopChop96, and 800-522-4700.

Among the top 10 in chips is COLOSSUS ring winner WhiteChick who currently sits in second rank while Philippines’s Lester Edoc “mon$terDad” is ranked 10th.

Update: WSOPC Ring Event #16: PLO MAIN EVENT $1M GTD

Also brewing up a big pot is the WSOPC Ring Event #16: PLO MAIN EVENT $1M GTD. The event also surpassed its guarantee with a cumulative 1,916 entries at $ 1K each for $ 1,820,800. This number will continue to increase with seven Day 1 heats remaining.

Back to back wins for Jacob Schindler who won a $ 5K High Roller event yesterday and claimed another one today. This was Schindler’s second WSOPC side game title. The event saw nearly every player in the money pony up more than a single buy in. It took two bullets for Schindler to secure the win denying Adrian Mateos. He also qualified to the upcoming Ring Event #16: PLO Main Event.

At this $ 5K High Roller event, it came down between Nick Petrangelo and Spain’s top ranked player Adrian Mateos. Petrangelo was already backed by a title which he won two days prior while Mateos was in search of his first. Mateos got very close to his first win at the event above, falling only to Jacob Schindler. In the end, Mateos prevailed over Petrangelo while the latter secured the higher pay on a heads up deal. Mateos’s combined scores were $ 129K to make him the day’s top earner.
