MBP announces Super High Roller events at Crown Perth

The poker world needs no reminder when it comes to reasons why they should be in Australia in January each year. But, there is a good reason to book that flight a month or so earlier this year. December will see the Macau Billionaire Poker (MBP) Crown Perth Super High Roller, taking place between December 12th and 13th. This isn’t just one single event, but two tournaments, the first of which is an AUD$100,000 (USD 71,960) unlimited re entry event. The second event, which starts on the 13th, is an AUD$50,000 (USD 35,980) single re entry. Both these events should generate a very large prize pool which will be fought over by many familiar names, as you would expect from an event of this magnitude.

Macau Billionaire Poker

Macau Billionaire Poker are a company that have worked to promote poker in China since 2010. They are based in Macau and have hosted a number of successful events there, but are now branching out into Australia for this latest event. In recent years, MBP have generated prize pools between HK$119,000,000 ($15,3m) and HK$180,000,000 ($23,2m) for their events, and have also formed fruitful relationships in the last couple of years which should help their brand grow. They partnered with Pokerstars in 2013, and have brought individuals on board, such as Stanley Choi, Dong Guo, Phil Ivey, and Wang Feng. All these people and more, are all working to make MBP a continued success.

As with most High Roller events, the field this year should see a mixture of wealthy hopefuls and established pros, all competing for huge prizes. This should provide an excellent warm up for the Aussie Millions, from the perspective of players, and also the fans who wish to watch the action unfold.
