High rollers alert! SHR Superstar Challenge kicks off today at USOP Vietnam; Mystery Bounty battle continues; Roland Kivi wins Hyper Turbo

Nonstop action continues at U Series of Poker Vietnam as Day 3 opens with the exciting conclusion of the Mystery Bounty tournament which will be joined by four events later in the day. The most anticipated is undoubtedly the Superstar Challenge, a huge favorite among the high rollers, and popularized right here in Vietnam.

Listing down a few of the confirmed players: Triton Vietnam champion Dao Minh Phu, High Roller Warm Up champion Chu Anh, Australia’s Anton Lu, 2023 PSPC runner up Max Menzel, Vietnam’s Tobias Bui, and USOP founder Ian Lee. 

For this edition, VN₫ 1.5 Billion (~US$ 63,980) is guaranteed. It is a two-day event with Day 1 playing down to the final table. This is the most expensive event of the series with buy in at VN₫ 107,000,000 (~US$ 4,520). Players start with a stack 300x the opening big blind. Blinds increase every 40 minutes. Registration closes at the end of Level 12. Action gets underway at 12:30pm.

Event 5: Roland Kivi wins the Hyper Turbo

Continuing his hot run, Estonia’s Roland Kivi scored a win at Day 2 of the festival. Kivi outlasted the 84 runners of the Hyper Turbo event, denying Vietnam the side event title. Prior to this, on opening day, Kivi bagged up the second largest stack at Mystery Bounty Day 1A and cashed at the evening’s Hyper Turbo. For his victory, he earned the largest cut of the VN₫ 244,440,000 (~US$ 10,400) prize pool, taking home VN₫ 70,240,000 (~US$ 3,000).
