MSS Main Event champion to be crowned today; Yun Rong Cheong leads the Final 9 players

After six days of Main Event action, the Manila Super Series headliner has reached its pinnacle as the final day sees the last 9 players return to battle for the title, trophy, the PHP 1,762,000 (~US$ 31,460) top prize, and a package to the APPT Manila Main Event worth PHP 105,000.

The 17th edition of the MSS Main Event is one for the history books with 746 entries amassing a record prize pool of PHP 9,551,784 (~US$ 170,918). At Day 2, 113 players shaved down respective portions. The heat closed with the Final 9 players established with Singapore’s Yun Rong Cheong as chip leader.
