Big win for the Chinese International Poker Team (CIPT) at Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Cambodia as one of their own, Guiyang Wang, took down the two-day NagaWorld Kickoff event. Wang bagged the Day 1A chip lead, dominated a majority of the action in Day 2, then defeated William Bolton in a bull-headed heads up match to seize the title, his first PokerStars Spade Trophy, and turn his US$ 200 to a payout of US$ 20,615.
In a brief interview with the champ, he shared,
“I am the captain of CIPT and I took the burden and responsibility today and played very hard to try to win this event for us.. During heads up, our stacks sizes kept shifting so I strategized and played the button aggressively. I am very happy to win it, I will go celebrate with the team and have hotpot!”
