Poker Dream Manila: Second win for Christopher Mateo; Jiaqi He ships Big Bounty; Yuta Kitazumi tops Mystery Bounty Day 1A

Poker Dream Manila crossed the halfway mark with Day 6 of games in the books. The event has been ongoing since April 26 and will run through May 7 at Newport World Resorts. Over at the side games, Christopher Mateo lifted his second title at the NLH Turbo. Mateo was the first two-time champion of the ongoing series. At the Big Bounty, Jiaqi He shipped it, and over at the Mystery Bounty, 118 poured in for Day 1A with 18 advancing to the final day. Here are the results.

The Mystery Bounty was the hottest item of the day with 118 signing up for a chance at the PHP 5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Just under ten hours in, the bubble burst with Jinlong Hu’s JcJs standing firm against a player’s overcards KhQs. Hu bagged up the heat’s 8th largest stack. Topping the counts was Japan’s Yuta Kitazumi with 425,000.

Christopher Mateo becomes first two-time champion

Filipino pro Christopher Mateo is on fire! Two days prior, he shipped the Crazy Weekend event then last night, he won the NLH Turbo. Mateo is the first two-time side event champion of the series. His latest win earned him PH₱ 200,384 (~US$ 3,615) for a combined PH₱ 1,271,384 (~US$ 22,940).
