The only player representing China of the final 9 has taken down the Main Event! Zhu Yong entered the final table with a commanding stack, proceeded to rail six players to seize the title and ship the VND 1,700,440,000 (US$72,000) first prize. This was Yong’s maiden victory and his largest live tournament cash payout. Congratulations on his incredible performance to the top!

He was short stacked and was called by Alex Nguyen with 7-7. The turn was blank but the river was a the two outer 7 card Nguyen needed to eliminate Chuen.
Chuen was the last player left for HKPPA. With that, it is guaranteed that an SPL player will win the “Last Man Standing” contest between HKPPA and SPL. Three remain, Joey Seng, Feng Zhao, and Norbert Koh. One of them will win a seat to the next APL Main Event.
