Event Guide: APT Cambodia

Anticipation is growing for the upcoming APT Cambodia, and with the full schedule available, players can start booking accommodation and getting ready for what should be a great APT event.

Taking place between October 20th and 28th , the APT Cambodia will feature the following noteworthy tournaments: Main Event satellites occupy part of the schedule through each of the first few days, with day 2 offering a USD$220 OFC Pineapple tournament too. There is a USD$330 Bounty tournament on day 3, a USD$220 PLO event on day 4, along with plenty of Holdem events (Deepstack or Turbo) in between. The Main Event day 1a will also get under way on October 23rd, with day 1b on the 24th , and run each day until the final table convenes on the 27th of October. The Main Event will cost USD$1,100 to enter. There will also be a USD$2,500 High Roller event starting on October 27th.

Win a Main Event seat with Somuchpoker

To add a little extra excitement to proceedings, SoMuchPoker have put forward a promotion for APT Cambodia that will see a player winning their Main Event seat for free!

To qualify for the promotion you must be either a Vietnamese national, or be playing your first ever APT event. Players from Japan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore are not eligible.

Event 1,3, and 5 will be used to determine the winner. The highest placing player (must be within top 3) will win a seat for the Main Event day 1a. If no qualifying player happens to finish top 3, then SoMuchPoker will refund the Main Event buy in for the best placed finisher who finishes outside of the money places (Bubble boy).

Accomodation

Accommodation at APT Cambodia is set at Queenco Hotel and Casino, which is located right beside the beach. They are offering special rates through October 20th – 27th for those booking at least 7 nights. Rooms start at USD$45 per night, and depending on whether you want a good room or a great room, can go up to as much as USD$250 per night for a front suite with balcony.

Transportation

– Fly to Siem Reap from all major South East Asian cities and connect with Royal Angkor Airlines for a 45-minute flight to Sihanoukville.
– Fly to Phnom Penh from all major South East Asian cities – Seoul, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and so on – From Phnom Penh, Queenco will arrange upon request ground transportation to Sihanoukville which is about 3 hours during non-peak traffic hours. This needs to be requested via APT NOT less than 48 hours before arrival. Taxis are also available at the airport for around US$ 60 a trip.
– By land from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). It is 10-12 hours via bus which costs around $25. (The bus goes HCM-Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville)
– By land from Bangkok. It is 12 hours and costs about $30. There is a bus that leaves BKK at 2am and arrives at the border (Koh Kong) early in the morning where passengers transfer onto 8 am van to Sihanoukville.

Main Event Re-Entry Policy:

Same Day Re-Entry is ALLOWED before the start of Round 7.
Day 1B – allows players qualifying to Day 2 to re-enter.
Players Qualifying to Day 2 with multiple stacks must play the larger stack and surrender the other.

3% Staff Charge on all tournaments except for Satellites and Charity Event
Main Event and High Rollers will be paid to the nearest USD 100; all other events to the nearest USD
