Tournaments in Asia: APT Cebu, ACOP Platinium Macau, Aussie Millions, APPT Seoul

APT Cebu Side Events: Sam Razavi again!

Sam Razavi won the first APT event of the year (NLHE side event #1) cashing in for PhP 186,200 ($4,200). Sam Razavi is looking for a fourth consecutive Asian Poker Tour (APT) Player of the Year title. APT regular Tetsuya Tsuchikawa (Japan) finished second for PHP 114,900 in the same event. It has also to be noted that another Japanese player, Takafuji Hideki won the High Rollers event (23 runners) for PhP 1,000,000 ($22,7000). The APT Cebu 2015 Main Event will begin January 30th (Friday) in Day 1A. Two more starting days are scheduled: Day 1B (Saturday) and Day 1C (Sunday).

ACOP Platinum Series are back in Macau

 Last year, the ACOP Platinum Main Event averaged 265 players and 2,700 players in total took part to the festival. This February 3-8, the ACOP Platinum Series will return to the 'PokerStars LIVE Macau' poker room, and once again features the HK$5,500 Main Event which comes with a HK$500,000 guarantee and for the first time a HK$10,000 NLH tournament. Aussie Millions 2015: Quick facts 

– The Poker Championship AU$10,600 Main Event is down to 338 players. 648 players took part to the event creating a prize pool of AU$6,480,000 ($AU1,600,000 for the winner). Several celebrities advanced to Day 3 including Phil Ivey, Team Pokerstars Pro Bryan Huang and Mike (Timex) Mc Donald.

– $100,000 Challeng: the former champion Dan Smith made the bubble and the official final table of is now set featuring Dani Stern, Eric Seidel, Scott Seiver or Ole Schemion (chipleader).

– $25,0000 Challenge: The event saw a 60% increase over 2014 and attracted 104 entrants. Alex Trevallion, an online cash game player won the event.

– $250,000 Challenge: Event will start on Sunday.

APPT announces schedule for Seoul 

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) unveiled few days ago the 9 schedule for APPT Seoul. The event will take place at the Paradise Walkerhill Casino from April 6-12, 2015 and will feature a ₩3,000,000 (USD $2,800) buy-in Main Event.
