The list of online tournament options for most players in the world as always been long, but in China, this hasn’t always been the case. Chinese Online Giant Ourgame are doing their best to resolve this situation through their online platform Poker Monster though, and will be bringing their LZCOOP series back for its second edition this spring. If that isn’t reason enough for players to be excited, a prize pool of 17.5 billion ‘Golds’ (US$175,000 approximately) is guaranteed for the Main Event.

About Poker Monster

Ourgame own the WPT brand, having purchased it for $35 million back in 2015 as well as owning Poker Monster. Games on Poker Monster only offer Golds as prizes, so as not to break Chinese law by offering actual cash.

These Golds can be exchanged for real cash later by an outside party (such as Somuchpoker). Poker Monster has been operating in this way for years, offering Chinese players the chance to enjoy poker online, and to win seats to major live events such as WPT Sanya. Since 2016, the site has also been open to the entire international market, with the PC and Android Software now having been translated into English.
