Discover Players Series (PS): Affordable Poker in Asia
In late 2024, a new live poker series was born in Asia by the name of Players Series. It aims to focus on the Asian market with more affordable buy-ins and fewer re-entries than most other competitors.
The brand’s inaugural festival took place in December at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City in cooperation with the CTP Club. It was sponsored by online poker site Natural8 and the entire festival featured more than two dozen tournaments, most of which were geared for the low and mid stakes.
The Main Event featured a buy-in of NTD 16,500 (~USD 520) Main Event and attracted 748 entries. The most expensive tournament on the schedule was the PS Super High Roller with a price tag of TWD 50,000 (~USD 1,585).
