Dream Debut for Anand Rathi

Anand Rathi
Anand Rathi

Anand Rathi enjoyed a debut to remember after winning the Natural8 Open Main Event in his first-ever live poker tournament.

The NTD 16,500 (~USD 520) buy-in event attracted 359 entries, generating a NTD 5,117,904 (~USD 160,585) prize pool and narrowly surpassing the NTD 5,000,000 guarantee. Rathi earned NTD 622,504 (~USD 19,535) for the victory.

His run began with a successful satellite qualification before he survived Flight C and reached the money. He then continued his deep run through Day 2 before reaching heads-up.

An ICM deal ultimately saw Rathi crowned champion, completing an unlikely journey from satellite qualifier to Players Series trophy winner in his very first live tournament.
