Kiyoung Kim Wins PS Championship III Taipei 2026 Main Event & SHR
Players Series (PS) at PS Championship III Taipei 2026 wraps up today at Asia Poker Arena , which ran from February 26 to March 10. The PS Championship III Main Event was the highlight, featuring a TWD 33,000 (~USD 1,030) buy-in and a TWD 20,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

South Korea’s Kiyoung Kim had a strong run at the series, first claiming the PS Super High Roller for TWD 1,156,000 (~USD 36,945). He then went on to win the Main Event, which drew 749 entries and built a prize pool of TWD 21,355,500 (~USD 682,555).
In the Main Event heads-up, Kim defeated Philippines’ David Erquiaga , taking home TWD 3,010,000 (~USD 96,205) while Erquiaga earned TWD 2,500,000 (~USD 79,905) as runner-up. With both victories, Kim finished as the biggest earner of the series.
Main Event Final Table Highlights

Erquiaga entered the final table as chip leader and eliminated several players early, including Ming Ken Thoo in ninth place and Loy Abdo in fifth place. Sung Jin Yan finished eighth, while Chung Howe Sean Tan exited in sixth place after running into Kim’s pocket aces.
Kim’s key moment came when he doubled up against Erquiaga after his pocket jacks hit a two-outer on the river against Erquiaga’s kings. Kim later eliminated Kuo Kai Ma in seventh place with ace-jack against pocket tens and Fabian Rolli in fourth place with pocket deuces against ace-queen.

in 3rd place. The match started with both players close in chips and lasted around 40 minutes.
On the final hand, Kim moved all in with king-jack and was called by Erquiaga with ace-nine. A king on the turn gave Kim the winning hand and the championship, closing out the tournament as the final winner of the PS Championship Main Event in Taipei.

PS Championship Super High Roller

Before the Main Event started, Kiyoung Kim made his mark at the PS Championship III Taipei 2026 by winning the Super High Roller. The event, with the largest buy-in of the festival at TWD 100,000 (~USD 3,140) and a guaranteed prize pool of TWD 3,000,000 (~USD 94,275), drew 48 entries, creating a total prize pool of TWD 4,147,200 (~USD 132,550). Only the top 8 players cashed.
Kim defeated Taiwan’s Chi Jen Chu to take the title, marking his first win of the series and setting the tone for his strong run at Taipei 2026.
Natural8 Open Main Event

The next biggest guaranteed event after the PS Championship III Main Event was the Natural8 Open Main Event, carrying a TWD 7,000,000 (~USD 220,000) guarantee. With a TWD 16,500 (~USD 515) buy-in, the event drew 565 entries and created a prize pool of TWD 8,054,700 (~USD 257,440).
In the end, Taiwan’s Chung Tang Lin won the title and TWD 1,350,000 (~USD 43,150) after defeating Hon Leung Ip in heads-up play, who earned TWD 927,700 (~USD 29,650).
PS Mystery Bounty

The PS Mystery Bounty, a popular event among players, featured a TWD 20,000 (~USD 625) buy-in with a TWD 3,500,000 (~USD 101,000) guarantee. The tournament attracted 263 entries, generating a total prize pool of TWD 4,544,700 (~USD 145,255).
South Korea’s Jaemoon Seok claimed the title, earning TWD 551,000 (~USD 17,610). He also collected 7 bounties, including the largest bounty of TWD 300,000 (~USD 9,425), after defeating Kim Wah Chiu, who finished runner-up with TWD 489,000 (~USD 15,650).

The PS Championship III Taipei 2026 continues at Asia Poker Arena, with several events still underway and prize pools yet to be claimed. After Kiyoung Kim’s wins in the Super High Roller and Main Event, and strong showings from Chung Tang Lin and Jaemoon Seok in the side events, the series remains highly competitive.
