Vietnam's Hieu Ngo leads APPT Championship Final 6

The official Final Table of the Pokerstars LIVE APPT Manila Championship is set to reconvene later (Sunday, October 27) here at Okada Manila in the City of Mnaila, Philippines where the original starting field of 416 has now been pruned to six and these individuals will be laying claim to the biggest chuck of the now PHP 59,922,720 (~US$1,028,270) with the champion earning PhP11,610,000 (~US$199,100).

28 players began the day and were all assured of at least PhP355,000 (~US$6,075) and as the day drew on, it was anyone's guess as to who would advance to the Final 6 which will be streamed on the Pokerstars Twitch and YouTube accounts.

In the end, it was Vietnam's Hieu Ngo who led the charge heading into the finale.

Hieu, who has already amassed more than a quarter of a million US dollars in his six year career, already has one cash in this festival, finishing 22nd in the APPT National for PhP237,000 (~US$4,120).

At tis point, Hieu and the rest of the finalists are assured PhP2,360,000 (~US$40,430).

Hieu carries 7,075,000 in chips while a distant second is many time Taiwanese champion Justin Chi Jen Chu who has 4,875,000. Korea Beum Chun Jun, who just won the Turbo event here last Wednesday, is in third with 3,455,000.

The action resumes at 12NN (UCT+8).

The turn is the card that the Vietnamese player was looking for: 4♥ to complete his straight. Ysmael isn't stopping, though, as he fires another bet of 550,000. Hieu just makes the call. The river is the 3♣ and Ysmael puts the biggest non-shove bet of the competition: 1,000,000. Hieu calls.

This time, though, Hieu Ngo of Vietnam 3-bets him from the CO for 250,000. Hieu has T♠ T♥ . The Filipino then takes a moment and announces that he is all-in for 3,600,000.

Hieu gos into the tank. The call will be not really be for his tournament life, but it could hurt if he calls and he is wrong. On Time Bank card later, the Vietnamese player givs in and folds.

Hand #15: Lester Edoc tries mid range steal from the +3 and gets rejected by Martin Gonzales who 3-bet shove from the BB.

Hand #16: Ysmael uses his positional power and raises from the D folded to him with 7♥ 6♥ and gets no callers.
