Changliang Sun is a Chinese live-tournament professional who has been making waves in Asia’s poker circuit. His career to date reflects consistent deep runs and a growing presence in major regional series. Earlier in 2025, he achieved the biggest result of his career at APT Jeju, finishing near the top of the Mystery Bounty event for KRW 98,700,000 (approximately USD 70,015). The strong showing in a large and competitive field marked a turning point in his career and underlined his ability to perform under pressure.
Sun carried that momentum into the Jeju Poker Festival, where he finished in second place in the WPT Prime Korea Main Event and collected KRW 85,150,000 (approximately USD 59,635). His run included bagging the overnight chip lead with around 3,455,000 (about 70 big blinds) heading into the final day. In heads-up play, he was narrowly defeated by Zengxiang Chen when his seven-four was unable to overcome king-deuce after Chen improved to a full house.
With multiple strong finishes in recent times, Sun continues to prove that he has the technical skill and composure needed to succeed in major tournaments. His results in 2025 have established him as one of China’s most consistent and promising players on the Asian poker scene.
