History and Significance of the Super Cup

The Super Cup burst onto the scene in late 2024 as one of the first major South Korean festivals to explicitly define itself under the “Mind Sports” umbrella. This approach allows poker to share the stage with classic games like chess, Go, or bridge, thereby increasing the game’s social acceptance in the region.

One of the series’ most unique features is that, unlike traditional international series that focus mainly on the island of Jeju, the Super Cup has successfully expanded to mainland Korea as well.
