WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus Cancelled

In a brief statement released today, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) officially announced the cancellation of the WSOP Super Circuit Cyprus, which was slated to run from April 25 to May 11, 2026.

Organizers cited “ongoing uncertainties in the region” as the primary driver behind the decision. While the announcement remains somewhat broad, the tour emphasized that the safety of players, staff, and partners remains the top priority. There are currently no immediate plans for a rescheduled date, with the tour expressing hope to return to the region only when “conditions allow.”

Meanwhile, in Asia, the Super Cup Seoul has also been pulled from its original slot, though for entirely different reasons. The Organizing Committee has made the decision to postpone the event after a final inspection of the venue determined it was unsuitable for tournament play.

According to the official notice, essential requirements, such as electrical work, facility repairs, and drainage construction, did not meet the standards necessary for a “safe and stable event operation.”

The committee is currently scouting a new venue and expects to announce an updated schedule through their official channels by the end of March. For now, the Seoul event remains in postponed while organisers finalise a more reliable location.
