Originally from South Korea, Tae Hoon Han moved with his family to Auckland, New Zealand, at the age of nine. He initially developed his skills playing online on PokerStars before making his live tournament debut in 2012 at the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT). In 2015, he returned to South Korea to test his skills in live cash games and tournaments, a move that proved successful as he quickly became a staple of the high-stakes Asian circuit.
