My relationship with cards started thanks to my father. I was still in elementary school when he first taught me how to play Rummy, and I still remember the long evenings spent playing cards with my family. During the poker boom, I was still underage, but the televised tournaments immediately captured my attention. I became fascinated with the game and started learning different poker formats whenever I had the chance. Later in life, as an adult, I was fortunate enough to spend four years playing poker professionally. During that time, I mainly focused on Heads-Up Sit and Go games, where I found the format that suited me best. Even though my professional career was relatively short, poker remains something I’m grateful to have experienced as a major part of my life. Today, I play mostly as a hobby, while writing has become my main focus. That said, my enthusiasm for writing about poker is just as strong as my passion for playing the game once was.

Journalism & Poker Expertise
My connection with poker began long before I entered the industry professionally. Growing up in a family where card games were a regular part of life, I developed an early appreciation for strategy, competition, and decision-making. During the poker boom, I became fascinated by the game through televised tournaments and spent years learning different formats, strategies, and approaches whenever I had the opportunity.
As an adult, I went on to spend four years playing poker professionally, focusing primarily on Heads-Up Sit & Go tournaments. This period provided invaluable experience in bankroll management, game theory, opponent analysis, and the mental discipline required to compete consistently. While my professional playing career was relatively short, it gave me a practical understanding of poker that continues to shape my perspective today.
Over the years, poker has remained a significant part of my life. Although I now play mostly recreationally, I have transitioned much of my passion for the game into writing and content creation. Through my work, I aim to provide readers with accurate information, strategic insight, and thoughtful analysis drawn from both personal experience and ongoing involvement in the poker community.
Poker Perspective & Industry Understanding
Having experienced poker from both a competitive and editorial perspective, I understand the game beyond hand histories and tournament results. My background as a former professional player allows me to evaluate strategy, player behavior, and industry developments with a practical, real-world mindset.
I believe poker is one of the most intellectually engaging games ever created because it combines mathematics, psychology, risk management, and human decision-making in a way few other competitive activities can. This balance between skill and uncertainty is what continues to make the game endlessly fascinating.
Whether discussing strategy concepts, industry news, online poker platforms, or major tournament stories, I strive to present information that is both accessible to newer players and valuable to experienced enthusiasts.
