The APT Taipei 2026 has reached an exciting stage as the festival now runs across two venues, Asia Poker Arena and Red Space , to handle the huge number of players. The energy in Taipei is high, with several big milestones already achieved, once again showing that the city is the tour’s top destination for record-breaking poker action.
Daeyoung Park Tops Record Field to Win APT National Cup
The APT Taipei 2026 National Cup – Sponsored by DeepRun came to a close after Daeyoung Park navigated a massive field and claimed the title. Across six opening flights, the tournament attracted 2,940 entries when registration officially closed, generating a TWD 28,929,600 (~USD 927,230) prize pool.
It wasn’t just a victory for Park, as this win marked his maiden APT title, the very first trophy in a live tournament, and the biggest score of his poker career, earned after a gruelling twenty-one 30-minute levels of the day.

Winner’s Reaction
“Actually this is my first trophy in my tournament career, I still can’t believe that I won in this kind of a big tournament in my life,” said Park through a translator after his victory.
“The Main Event and Bounty Hunter are still left [to play], but I’m more than celebrating for now. I will be preparing for those events however.” he continued.
“I will be enjoying the win for today but I will try to prepare as much as I can right away [for the APTC in November]; I’ve got a ticket for such a huge tournament, but I am not sure if I am capable of playing in this kind of a tournament – but for sure I will do my best studying and preparing for the APTC.”

At the end of the day, Park emerged as champion after defeating Yoong Shen Ding in the final heads-up match. Following an ICM deal, Park took home the TWD 3,548,400 (~USD 112,706) top prize, the Lion Trophy, and a USD $10,000 APTC Main Event seat.
With Park outlasting the record-breaking field, the victory marked another milestone in a festival already filled with historic achievements.
Shinyoung Park Leads Mystery Bounty Hunter – Sponsored by Natural8

Another key event, Event #40: Mystery Bounty Hunter – Sponsored by Natural8, kicked off on the same day with three starting flights and attracted a massive field by the end of the day. This premier event also generated an incredible prize pool of TWD 25,872,000 (~USD 829,230), with a cumulative turnout of 1,540 entries across three flights.
Flight A concluded after nineteen 25-minute levels, with 683 entries recorded and just 95 survivors making it through to the Final Day. South Korea’s Shinyoung Park bagging 648,000 chips and sitting atop the overall leaderboard. Chasing behind Park is Japan’s Seigai Kou (611,000), while the USA’s Kai Yang (527,000) rounded out the top three.

The second flight drew 533 entries, with 75 players making it through. Holding the Flight B chip lead is Taiwan’s Hao Shen , who accumulated a stack of 564,000 to cap off his night. Russia’s Sergei Zakharov (533,000) and Taiwan’s Sin Lan Chen (522,000) rounded out the top three stacks, with the trio being the only Flight B players to surpass the half-million mark in chips.
Flight C attracted 324 entries, with 46 players bagging up their chips at the end of play. It was Belgium’s Kristof Segers who bagged the chip lead in the flight with a stack of 543,000. Taiwan’s Po Lun Chao (531,000) and Malaysia’s Kar Wee Chee (494,000) rounded out the top three in Flight C.

Ethan Yau Leads in APT’s Richest-Ever Super High Roller
Continuing the momentum at the festival, another milestone was set as the APT Super High Roller attracted a massive field filled with notable names and generated the APT’s richest-ever prize pool. The premier event drew 136 entries (90 unique) and amassed a staggering TWD 41,290,960 (~USD ) prize pool, making it the richest APT Super High Roller ever. From such a field, only 20 players will leave with a share of the prize pool.
After sixteen 40-minute levels on Day 1, 29 survivors bagged their chips, keeping their dreams very much alive for the coveted TWD 9,760,160 (~USD 312,825) top prize. To add to the excitement, the top two finalists of the event will be awarded a TWD 313,000 (~USD 10,000) seat to the USD 5M GTD Asian Poker Tour Championship Main Event.

Hot on Yau’s heels is another heavyweight name, Tony Ren Li , with 2,420,000 in chips, who claimed back-to-back titles in the APT Jeju 2026 Super High Roller and Superstar Challenge.
Rounding out the top three is Lithuania’s Gytis Lazauninkas with a stack of 1,905,000, while triple bracelet winner Yan Shing Tsang (1,695,000) and former APT Taipei 2023 Main Event champion Punnat Punsri (1,530,000) also in the mix.
Magsakay Clinches Sixth Title in the PL Omaha High – High Roller

Capturing the title in Event #42: PL Omaha High – High Roller is another poker elite, the Philippines’ Vamerdino Magsakay , who outlasted the field and banked TWD 810,240 (USD 25,885) at the end of the day. With over $1.5 million in total live earnings, the Filipino pro added another milestone to his career by winning his sixth APT title.
