Teddy Pham cut his poker teeth interestingly competing abroad before focusing on local tournament play. From 2011 to 2014, Pham competed regularly in the Melbourne circuit including the Melbourne Crown Casino Recurring Tournaments, Melbourne Poker Championship, Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Melbourne and the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific. The Vietnamese won his first title at the 2014 Melbourne Crown Casino Recurring Tournaments, taking the Saturday Special side event. Pham also made deep runs at the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific 2014, Melbourne with three cashes totaling over $13,000.

In 2015, Teddy Pham began competing out of the Melbourne Circuit, testing his skills in Manila, Vietnam and Macau. Pham returned to his homeland in May, to play in the Asian Poker Tour Ho Tram, Ho Tram, finishing second at the Deep Stack Turbo 2 Event. But money-wise, his most successful outing was at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Asia Championship of Poker, Macau, making a final table finish at the NLH Event for a cash of $ 9,431.

In 2017, Teddy Pham won two minor titles, one at the NLH Deepstack Turbo Event of the Asian Poker Tour Manila and the other at the Saturday Special of the 2017 Loyal Poker Club Recurring Tournaments, Ha Noi. After playing only one tournament in Australia in 2018, Pham would make the pivotal decision to continue his poker career, competing exclusively in the local circuit in Vietnam. He returned to international play only this March 2024. It was also a serendipitous choice as Vietnam was one of the countries who responded to the pandemic early with effective health protocols thus allowing a return to live tournament play. Pham benefitted from this as he claimed a significant win in November 2020. He shipped the Super Star Challenge title at the Vietnam Series of Poker Championship 2, Ha Noi for a career best cash (to date) of $ 49,902.

Big Year

2022 though would prove to be Teddy Pham’s highlight year. Pham began the year with deep runs at the Hanoi Spring Championship and World Poker Tour Prime Vietnam. In June, the Vietnamese pro made a final table finish at the Super High Rollers event of the Asian Poker Tour Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 banking $ 24,916. Teddy Pham ended the year with a title, clinching the NLH High Roller Single Day Event of the Hanoi Super Series, adding $ 20,174 to his cash bounty. His total earnings for 2022 amounted to $ 182,943.
