Meet Jeju High Roller Crusher “Candy” Meng Ling Lin

“Candy” Meng Ling Lin is a part-time professional poker player from Taiwan with most of her live cashes coming from local tournaments in Taipei City starting in 2018, before her poker career really took off early last year in 2024. Her breakout came when she final tabled both the Super High Roller and the High Roller Finale at the U Series of Poker Taiwan, earning her first two five-figure cashes and nearly $30,000 in under a week. Since then, Lin has turned her focus toward the high roller circuit and has continued to make her mark.
I like high rollers because of the good structure and deep stacks – it gives more room to play and minimizes luck.
Meng Ling Lin’s Jeju High Roller Hat Trick
Later that year in April, Meng Ling Lin ventured to Jeju, South Korea for the first time and banked an even bigger win, shipping the WPT Korea Single Day High Roller for $128,937. She followed that up with another win in November when she hoisted the WPT High Roller trophy at the Jeju Poker Festival for $58,061.
Fast forward to April 2025, Candy Lin returned to Jeju for the third time, making it a hat trick of high roller wins. She capped off her visit by taking down the $25,000 Single Day Super High Roller at the inaugural Korea Poker Cup Series 2025, continuing her hot streak on the elite stage.
Three wins in a row in Jeju? It felt so unreal — I even checked my phone the next morning to make sure it really happened. That calls for a celebration, and yes, more Hermès bags are coming! My highest buy-in yet but I saw the last champion was the only woman in the field, so I thought, I guess it’s my turn this time. Haha!
With a stacked field of 70 players, Lin emerged victorious over world pros Wiktor Malinowski, Paul Phua, Christian Harder, and Triton Player Of The Year, Daniel Tang. She took home a whopping $479,300 that catapults her into the top 15 of Taiwan’s all-time-money-list.
I’ve been to Jeju three times. Before this SHR, April 1st was my biggest cash, so I felt that Jeju was my land of fortune. Then I came back for my second trip and won the two-day HR again. So I decided to return for the third time to see if I could achieve a back-to-back-to-back win – and I did it.
Players can expect to see Lin back in action at the high roller stage along with possible new merch she’s rewarded herself with for her incredible success. With these huge achievements, Lin is closing in on a million USD in live tournament earnings.
I’ll be using most of the winnings to keep playing more tournaments… and of course, some will go to Hermès bags.

Career High Triumph For Meng Ling Lin At $25K Single Day Super High Roller
Taiwan's Meng Ling Lin added another feather to her cap after coming out victorious at the Single Day Super High Roller which featured a jaw-dropping $25,000 buy-in. A total of 70 heavyweights coughed up the hefty price tag such as Paul Phua, Danny Tang, and Wiktor Malinowski for the largest festival event prize pool of US$ 1,629,300.
The money flowed at the fall of Kei Chung Yeung to Tang on a flip, then two busts after, the final table was formed with Tang at the helm. Despite his strong run, Tang was stopped in 4th place. In the final showdown, Lin faced off against Christian Harder, who was riding high after his recent High Roller victory.
Lin held her ground and put an end to Harder’s bid for back-to-back titles, for a career high payout of US$ 479,300. The win came after she placed 15th at the High Roller for US$ 7,140 and 8th at the KRW 2.5M Single Day High Roller for US$ 4,490. These three cashes pushes her total live earnings just shy of a million.
