For Malaysian newcomer Ang Siang Yang, what better place to start your career than in your backyard tournament? In its second staging, the Poker Dream Tour once again provided many local professionals a perfect launchpad for their live tournament journey, Yang included.  In only his first appearance at the Poker Dream Malaysia 2023, the young player already claimed a very first title by shipping the NLO-KO Bounty Turbo Event. Yang won over Thailand’s Kaitponglap Worawat and cashed $ 5,433. He was 1 of seven Malaysians to trophy in the new tournament. In October, Ang Siang Yang proved his worth by making the final tables of the Superstar Challenge and Super HighRoller Events of the U Series of Poker Ha Noi for a combined total cash of $ 37,325. He performed better than many seasoned veterans like Vietnam’s Huu Nguyen, Chu Thinh, Australia’s Anton Zhen Lu and William Jia. Yang carried this confidence to his sophomore season in 2024.

Returning to the Poker Dream Tour in January 2024, Ang Siang Yang finished runner-up in the Mystery Big Bounty Event of the Poker Dream 8 Malaysia for $ 10,961. But in April the young Malaysian captured a second title at the Poker Dream 9 Malaysia, winning the Single Day High Roller Event. This was also Yang’s career best cash to date of $ 53,982. His total earnings have now breached the 100K milestone.
