My journey in the world of poker (and later casino, sportsbetting) started more than 20 years ago, when I first attended a low-stakes live tournament. I’ve never looked back since, and have been active in several fields, including being a poker player, a live tournament director, writing online and offline articles about poker, and managing the localization of one of the world's largest online poker rooms. Poker is my home ground, I could never imagine doing a job that is not a part of it. I hope someday I’ll have more time to play live; that's something I've missed in the past few years. A game where luck meets skill - what would be more interesting?
Journalism & Expertise
My journey in the world of poker, and later casino and sports betting, began more than twenty years ago when I first attended a low-stakes live tournament. That first experience sparked a long-lasting connection with the game. Since then, I have remained active across several areas of the industry, building both practical experience and a broad professional perspective.Over the years, I have worked as a poker player, a live tournament director, a writer of both online and offline poker articles, and as a localization manager for one of the world’s largest online poker rooms. These roles have allowed me to understand poker not only as a game, but also as a professional ecosystem shaped by strategy, communication, operations, and player experience.
Poker has always been my natural home ground. It is difficult for me to imagine doing work that is not connected to it in some way. What continues to make it endlessly fascinating is the balance at its core: the unique meeting point of luck and skill, where every decision carries both risk and possibility.
Casino Experience & Poker Perspective
Unlike those who approach poker only from a casual or entertainment perspective, I see it as a deeply layered discipline that rewards observation, patience, structure, and strategic thinking. My experience across playing, tournament operations, editorial work, and localization has given me a multi-dimensional view of the game and the wider poker industry.Having worked in several professional roles in poker, I understand how the game is experienced from different sides of the table: by players, by organizers, by readers, and by the platforms that bring poker to global audiences. This broader perspective allows me to engage with poker not only as a competitor but also as someone who values the culture, structure, and communication that surround it.
My areas of focus include:
- Live Tournament Operations
- Poker Psychology
- Poker Journalism & Editorial Content
- Online Poker Localization & Communication
- Player Experience & Casino Understanding
Skill Set & Analytical Mindset
My approach to poker content is grounded in long-term experience, authenticity, and respect for the game itself. Whether writing about poker, working behind the scenes in tournament environments, or contributing to major online platforms, I bring the perspective of someone who has spent decades closely connected to the industry.I believe poker is one of the most compelling games ever created precisely because it combines skill, instinct, probability, and human decision-making in such an engaging way. That complexity is what keeps me connected to it professionally and personally. Although I have missed having more time for live play in recent years, it remains something I deeply value and hope to return to more often.
