Moses Saquing

Moses Saquing is a Filipino-American professional player fast on the rise to be among the country’s top players. He presently stands 25th on the Philippines’ All-Time Money List with total live earnings of $226,875.

Saquing first appeared in tournament circles in 2013 when he cashed two No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) events in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Manila for a total of $7,800 in earnings.

His tournament success from that time until 2017 was sporadic but not insignificant. He placed first in the NLH-Megastack Turbo event of the 2015 PokerStars Live Manila Megastack 4. In 2016 and 2017, he placed 2nd in two NLH events of the APT Manila circuit for a combined purse of $8,654.

In 2018, Saquing amped up his production cashing on nine events for a total of $16,225. The largest among these was the NLH-Warm-Up event of the PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series 7, where he was rewarded $5,767 for his 2nd place finish. He also snagged the top prize at the NLH-Megastack event of the PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series 8 for the sum of $3,740.

In 2019, Saquing went on a heater cashing on eight events but for a larger amount of $18,349. He broke his personal best cash record at the time with his 6th place finish at the Kick-Off event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) – Manila on July 26 with a respectable $7,061 score.

The onset of the global health pandemic forced Saquing out of the tournament grind. However, he came back with a bang in 2022. As of date, he has bagged a total of $171,142. His largest cash to date came on November 17 when he took home $85,681 for winning the Main Event of the APT Philippines 2022 in Manila. Earlier in the same year, he also clinched the top prize for the Championship Event of the same circuit for a handsome $59,123.

Time will tell if Saquing continues his meteoric rise but momentum is certainly on his side.
