In this article, we deliver you a couple of selected poker videos of the past week.

Hellmuth Comes Close to 16th Bracelet

While Phil Hellmuth does have to deal with the critiques of his style of play from time to time, his prominent place in poker history is undoubtable and indelible. As you probably know, he currently has 15 WSOP gold bracelets, by far more than anyone ever in poker history. However, it seems it’s just not enough for him – the 57-year-old “Poker Brat” is currently in pursuit of his 16th. He came mighty close this time, reaching the final table in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8-or-Better event. Alas, he eventually busted in 5th place with this hand. However, in the sideline interview, Hellmuth seemed to be content with his performance.

How Not to Play a Full House

It’s always nice to hit a full house in No Limit Hold’em. However, a real pro knows that your job isn’t done just yet in the hand. You have to make sure your opponent puts as many chips in the pot as possible. This doesn’t always work out. PokerStars put together an interesting compilation of botched boats with unnecessary checks, flat calls, overly ambitious re-raises, and devastating boat-over-boats. The video features, among others, Daniel Negreanu, Liv Boeree, and Isaac Haxton.

How Daniel Negreanu Became the Greatest in the World

Speaking of “Kid Poker” Negreanu, the PokerStars YouTube channel put out another video montage – this one is all about him. The video shows clips of Negreanu’s career throughout the years. Since he’s been on the scene for over 20 years, there was plenty of footage to pick and choose from. Here, you watch his most memorable hands, most creative plays, and some of his signature “soul reads”.

High Stakes Cash Action from Hustler’s Casino

The Hustler’s Casino in California has been streaming live cash action from their poker room for the last 3 months. It seems they’re picking up steam, with each of their videos collecting tens of thousands of hits – not bad for poker content on YouTube. They’re going all-in with fun edits (this one features Mike Myers’s Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies), and crazy hands. In the video, a player named “Reza” goes on quite a heater. He calls an all-in bet with a lower flush draw, yet binks a pair on both boards after running it twice; then outdraws his opponent’s pocket Kings with 10-5 suited and scoops another huge pot. And that’s not all! Watch the rest below.

A Degen’s WSOP vlog

American poker player Ryan DePaulo proudly wears the badge of a “degenerate gambler” in the name of his YouTube channel. His videos, accordingly, have a fun vibe and fast pace. In this episode, he traveled to Las Vegas, NV to play the $500 Reunion event and the $600 Deepstack event at the World Series of Poker at the Rio. Here’s a little spoiler for you: he managed to make it into the money in the latter event. Congratulations to him – not too bad for a “degen”.
