Another blazing day of cards flying and pushing chips at U Series of Poker (USOP) Taiwan taking place at Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City. At the top of the Day 8 menu was the Main Event which drew a crowd of 282 entries on its second flight. By night’s end, 36 advanced to the next round led by Hong Kong’s Tsun Yin Ng and four more trophies left the mantle with Here are the results and highlights.

Main Event – update after Day 1B

The second entry day of the Main Event drew an even larger crowd with 282 runners signing up over the ten levels of registration. Only 36 players advanced, which was 12.5% of the field. Up top was Hong Kong’s Tsun Yin Ng with 92 bb, who just edged Day 1A leader Jun Li from the UK to slide up top the cumulative Day 2 qualifiers list.

Other players advancing via this heat were hot running Malaysian Xiang Guang Chang,event winners Vincent Chauve,William Jia,and notables Po Wen Fang, Kristof Segers, Dae Woong Song, Harry Duong, and John Perry.

CHIN LING HSU banks it at the Mystery Rush Bounty

Avid head hunter Chin Ling Hsu finally captured his first international festival bounty title after numerous attempts since 2022. Hsu outlasted 107 runners of the Mystery Rush Bounty event to claim the NTD 220,800 top prize. In addition, he collected a total of six bounties, which included the biggest one worth NTD 85,000, for a combined NTD 115,000 in bounties. He walked away with a grand total career high payout of NTD 335,800 (~USD 10,800).

Heads up even chop at the Tag Team Event

The Tag Team Event continues to grow in popularity with 87 teams signing up. The top 9 teams earned a cut of the NTD 843,900 prize pool. The event wrapped up with the final two teams opting on an even deal, splitting the winnings and one trophy each per team. This meant a second victory for teammates Wei Jen Wang and Chien Hsiang Hung. The night prior, Hung won the 8-Max Hyper Turbo and five days prior, Wang won the Double Board – Single Winner event.

ZI WEI TUNG wins first USOP title at 7-Max Hyper Turbo

On his series second final table cash, Taiwan’s Zi Wei Tung turned it into victory at the evening’s 7-Max Hyper Turbo. Tung bested a field of 88 entries to lift his first USOP trophy and the NTD 121,200 (~USD 3,900) top prize.
