You Xuan Luo Headlines TMT20 Day 23 Winners

The Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT20) is heading into its final weekend, but there is no sign of a quiet finish at the Asia Poker Arena .

Another 263 entries joined the Crown Main Event through Flight C, taking the field beyond 550 with three starting flights still to come.

Away from the Crown Main Event, Taiwan’s You Xuan Luo captured the TWD 150,000 Apex High Roller title, while the latest Player of the Series standings were released with the festival entering its final weekend.

You Xuan Luo Lands Apex High Roller Title

Luo secured one of the biggest remaining titles on the TMT20 schedule after coming out on top in the TWD 150,000 Apex High Roller .

The tournament brought together 17 entries and generated a TWD 2.3 million (~USD 71,201) prize pool, with only three players reaching the money.

Luo defeated fellow Taiwanese player Li Wei Wang heads-up to collect the trophy and TWD 1,134,800 (~USD 35,365) top prize.

Wang earned TWD 800,000 as the runner-up, while Kuan Lun Chen completed the all-Taiwan podium and collected TWD 350,000.

Crown Main Event Passes 550 Entries

After Flight C was introduced during the Day 22 action , it delivered the largest Crown Main Event field of the festival so far.

The flight attracted 263 entries, with 27 players surviving the day. South Korea’s Jihwan Oh finished on top with 623,000.

That took the overall field to 559 entries, with 57 players already through to Day 2.

Oh may have led the latest flight, but the two biggest stacks still belong to Taiwan. Day 1A leader Tseng Cheng holds the overall advantage with 763,000, closely followed by Day 1B leader An Li Lee on 758,000.

Day 1D takes place today, July 31. The final two opening flights follow on August 1 before all remaining players return for Day 2 on Sunday, August 2.

With a TWD 30 million guarantee and the busiest flights still to come, the Crown Main Event is only beginning to show its true size.

Sung Chi Wen Extends Player of the Series Lead

With TMT20 entering its final weekend, the latest Player of the Series standings have been released across the festival’s three leaderboards.

Taiwan’s Sung Chi Wen continues to lead the overall race with 1,478.32 points.

Sung was already in front when the Day 21 leaderboard update was released and has since strengthened his position.

Wu Chia Yun sits second with 1,004.6 points, while Li Chih Feng occupies third with 750.98 points.

Li also leads the Mixed Games standings with 580.9 points. Philip King Chung Wang currently sits second, followed by Hsiao Wei Wu.

Japan’s Shiina Okamoto holds first place in the Female Player of the Series race with 473.42 points.

Okamoto’s festival has already included victory in the TWD 60,000 High Roller , where she defeated a 25-entry field to collect TWD 594,000.

Mok Chau Yan currently sits second in the standings, with Teng Jia Jen in third.

With several events still to be completed, none of the three races is over yet.

Hori Shintaro Wins Senior NLH

Japan’s Hori Shintaro claimed another title in Event #62 Senior NLH.

The TWD 6,000 tournament attracted 15 entries and produced a TWD 73,500 prize pool, with three players sharing the payouts.

Hori defeated Bulgaria’s Vasil Radev heads-up to collect the trophy and TWD 37,000 top prize. Singapore’s Collin Kuan Seng Ho finished third for TWD 14,500.

TMT20 Heads Into Its Final Weekend

The Crown Main Event now takes centre stage as a remarkable TMT20 festival approaches its conclusion.

The earlier Main Event attracted an astonishing 9,094 entries , producing the largest field in TMT history and a new all-time record for a single starting flight when Day 1G drew 1,841 entries.

South Korea’s Daeyoung Park eventually won the record-breaking Main Event , collecting TWD 6,100,000 and the Incense Cedar Shield Trophy following a heads-up deal.

The Crown Main Event now provides one final opportunity for players to end TMT20 with a major title, with three starting flights still to play before Day 2.
