Shiina Okamoto Headlines TMT20 Day 17 with High Roller Victory

Japan’s Shiina Okamoto added another title to her record after winning the TWD 60,000 High Roller on Day 17 of the Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT20) .

The two-time WSOP bracelet winner collected TWD 594,000 (~$18,510), while several more champions were crowned at the Asia Poker Arena & Red Space . The TMT20 Main Event also moved through Day 1E and Day 1F ahead of its final two starting flights today.

Okamoto topped a field of 25 entries in the TWD 60,000 High Roller, taking the largest share of the TWD 1.3 million (~$41,135) prize pool.

The Japanese star defeated South Korea’s Eosoo Lee to secure the TWD 594,000 top prize, with Lee earning TWD 356,400 (~$11,105) as runner-up.

Taiwan’s Chi Huang finished third for TWD 224,400 (~$6,995). Chejui Chang completed the four paid positions and received TWD 145,200 (~$4,525).

Okamoto first made her name on the international stage by finishing runner-up in the 2023 WSOP Ladies Championship. She returned to win the event in 2024 before successfully defending the title in 2025, becoming the first player to win the WSOP Ladies Championship in consecutive years.

Her attempt at a third straight title ended during Day 1 of the 2026 event , but it did not take long for Okamoto to return to the winner’s circle following her summer in Las Vegas.

Chiwen Sung Wins Former Champions Special Event

Taiwan’s Chiwen Sung came out on top in the TWD 3,500 Special Event, which offered players a TWD 2,000 tournament voucher for eliminating a former TMT Main Event champion.

The tournament drew 63 entries and generated a TWD 180,000 (~$5,610) prize pool, with 10 players reaching the money.

Sung earned TWD 55,700 (~$1,735) for the victory. Canada’s Wallace Yuen finished runner-up for TWD 32,900 (~$1,025), followed by Japan’s Masahiro Takai in third for TWD 21,500 (~$670).

Takeo Kiuchi Claims R-O-S-E-T Title

Japan secured another victory through Takeo Kiuchi, who topped the 45-entry R-O-S-E-T event. The TWD 4,000 tournament rotated between Razz, Omaha Hi-Lo, Stud, Stud Hi-Lo and 2-7.

Kiuchi collected TWD 32,500 (~$1,015) from the TWD 147,000 (~$4,580) prize pool.

Taiwan’s Wei Wu Hsiao placed second for TWD 30,500 (~$950), while Japan’s Sae Sasaki finished third for TWD 27,500 (~$855).

South Korea’s Hyemin Song topped 73 entries in the TWD 2,500 Ladies Event to win TWD 45,000 (~$1,400).

The event created a TWD 149,000 (~$4,645) prize pool, with 11 players finishing in the money.

Taiwan’s Tsui Han Hsiao earned TWD 27,600 (~$860) as runner-up. Thailand’s Kannika Lirdhirunvanich took third place for TWD 17,700 (~$550).

Final TMT20 Main Event Flights Run Today

Two more starting flights were completed in the TWD 60 million guaranteed TMT20 Main Event on Day 17, with players taking their seats across Day 1E and Day 1F. The total number of entries stands at 5,593, with plenty more room for growth in the final flights.

Today provides the final opportunity to bag a stack for the next stage. Day 1G begins at 11:00 AM, followed by Day 1H at 5:00 PM. Entry costs TWD 9,000, with players receiving a 25,000 starting stack.

A new TWD 40,000 High Roller also begins at 1:00 PM. The late schedule includes the NL Triple Draw Dealer’s Choice, followed by PLO and the nightly NLH Head Hunter.
