Mid-July,WPT Heading to Korea with 2 Billion KRW GTD
From July 15th to 24th, one of the world’s top three international poker events, WPT, will land on Jeju Island, South Korea. The Main Event guarantees a prize pool of 2 billion Korean Won, with a registration fee of 3.4 million Korean Won. The event will be directed by WPT veteran Matt Savage, with the organization handled by the original WPT USA team. The video live-streaming will be managed by Sharehand, the WSOP and Triton video broadcasting team. The event will feature a player party with the first female DJ in Korea spinning at the fireworks pool, bringing together poker players from Southeast Asia for this international-level WPT event.

WPT Korea Tournament Schedule and Venue:
The event will be held at the Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea from July 15th to 24th.

Main Event Buy-in and 2 Billion KRW Guarantee
The WPT Korea Main Event will take place from July 17th to 22nd, with a total of three Days 1. The buy-in for the Main Event is 3.4 million Korean Won, and there is a guaranteed prize pool of 2 billion Korean Won. The Main Event will be live-streamed in both English and Chinese.
Early Bird Package with Hotel Accommodation:
Currently, there are two early-bird packages available
1 Purchase the Main Event Day 1A for 3.4 million Korean Won and receive 3 nights of accommodation at Landing Casino from July 16th to 19th.
Please note that only Day 1A registrations for the Main Event include hotel accommodation. Day 1B and Day 1C registrations do not include hotel accommodations, and hotel accommodations are not provided for Day 2, Day 3, or the Final Table.
2 Purchase the Opening Event + Main Event Combo for 4.25 million Korean Won and receive 5 nights of accommodation at Landing Casino from July 14th to 19th. (If you register for the Opening Event Day 1A) or receive 5 nights of accommodation at Landing Casino from July 15th to 20th (If you register for the Opening Event Day 1B).

South Korea Visa
According to the regulations, foreign tourists can visit Jeju Island without a visa and stay for up to 30 days starting from June 1st. In addition to Jeju Island, the South Korean government also allows tourist groups from Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Mongolia to enter visa-free through the Xiangyang Airport on the east coast of Korea.
Flight Information:
It is recommended for players to apply for a Korean visa and transit through Seoul. There are flights from Seoul to Jeju Island every hour, with a flight time of approximately 1 hour.

Currently, there are three hotel options located within the Jeju Shinhwa World Resort, all of which are close to the tournament venue. These three hotels, namely Landing, Shinhwa World, and Marriott, offer special discounts for poker players. The names and information of the hotels can be found on the previous booking website.

How to get to the tournament venue and hotel?
WPT staff will be available at Jeju Island Airport to welcome players and provide transportation to the tournament hotels via shuttle buses that operate daily.
What documents are required to participate in the event?
You need to present a valid passport and the Landing Casino membership card. Additionally, you will need to sign a WPT waiver agreement before entering the main tournament.
Can Korean citizens participate in this tournament?
Korean citizens are not allowed to enter the Landing Casino. However, there may be exceptions for Korean overseas residents who meet the requirements. For more detailed information, please inquire at the Landing Casino counter.
What is the minimum age requirement to participate in the tournament?
All participants must be at least 19 years old to participate in activities at the Landing Casino.
What are the payment methods for tournament buy-ins?
You can use Korean won in cash, USDT, or Landing Casino chips to register for the tournaments.
Is currency exchange available on-site?
The Landing Casino does not provide currency exchange services. If you stay at the Shinhwa World Resort, currency exchange can be done at the hotel front desk, but the amount and accepted currencies may be subject to daily limitations. Usually, there are also third-party exchange services available at the tournament venue.
What are the payout methods for tournament prizes?
Prizes will be paid out in Korean won in cash. There will be other exchange services available at the tournament venue.
Can I wire transfer funds to the Landing Casino?
The Landing Casino does not provide this service.
Can I transfer my winnings via wire transfer to my personal bank account?
Players can personally visit a local bank in Korea with the tournament prize certificate issued by the Landing Casino to arrange the wire transfer.
Is there a dress code?
Wearing slippers or pajamas is prohibited inside the Landing Casino.
